Eibach Rear Sway Bar -- Subaru WRX Hatch

Subaru WRX 2.5L
Eibach Rear Sway Bar

August 1, 2017

Just purchased and installed a 22mm Eibach sway bar on my 2013 WRX hatch, and I am incredibly happy with the outcome! After fully rebuilding my engine with a forged block and internals following a rod bearing failure, I was satisfied with the reliable 320 wheel horsepower and 370 wheel torque my car made. However, the vehicle's handling still needed work. I upgraded my tires to Hankook Ventus V12's after being on the stock all-seasons but felt I could never come close to the limit of those tires due to excessive body roll from the stock setup. I had my buddy Mike, who's a Porsche tech, throw my car on the lift to install the new bar. Mike was in shock when he saw the stock sway saying, "this thing looks like a toothpick!" After about 15 minutes on the lift, the 22 mm bar was in with some robust whiteline end links. I took my car for a rip a few hours later on some Maine backroads, and was incredibly impressed by the reduction in body roll and increased mid corner rotation the bar created. Highly recommend this $300-$350 mod.

Coils are next ;)
